Happy ♥ day twenty ten

for me today is just another sunday. to most of the world it is the most mushy-gushy day of the calender year. thats right folks...its valentines day aka singles awareness day. as you can already tell i am quite anti-valentines day. i think that it is a silly commercialized holiday. you should tell the person/people that you love that you love them EVERYDAY. not just because someone came up with a stupid day to do so. chocolates, flowers, teddy bears. yes, all great gestures but should be done on a regular basis. my best friend put it well..

"roses and flowers die, I am allergic to chocolate, stuffed animals are cliche, diamonds are mass produced and I work with them daily so they no longer hold the same appeal.... but I like love letters & kisses because they are personal and only for you."

i find myself this valentines day being awfully angry and sardonic. find myself gagging at the sound of love songs and couples holding hands. maybe because i am jealous? maybe because i wish i had that one person who loves me for who i am unconditionally? i honestly think i will not find that person until i begin to love myself. for who lisa is. inside and out.

the highlight of the lame holiday was i went sea tee (CT) bound and saw my little nugget.

SHE was my valentine hehe. she (ok well her mamadukes) made us little heart brownies and gave us valentines from her. how adorable. this little kid lights up my life. no matter how upset i am or how much life sucks she brings me back. and my oh my is she getting big! walking like crazy now. how fast a year has gone by...

i know i normally do not share any of my eats here on my blog for fear of being judged. i do not like to talk about what i eat and what i dont eat...even in tx because i didnt want people to see me as being "bad"... but in the past few days there have been two eats that were ahhhhhmazing.

a peanut butter cookie larabar. oh my goodness. a little piece of heaven. my twinnies m & e have me obsessed.

my wonderful friend kelly made me this bowl of deliciousness. sauteed red & yellow onions in EVOO with garlic and light italian dressing mixed with whole wheat pasta. yuuum.

anyhooo...i hope you all have a splendid evening...

btdubbs (by the way).....will you be my valentine? i am collecting..i tend to be a whore =P
