it is tentatively set that i will speak in long island next friday at a local high school for NEDA week. i am beyond nervous to say the least.
tonight, i began writing a rough (and let me say rough rough) draft of what i will say. i am letting some people read it and critique it/give pointers so it will be amazing. i know that with improvements throughout the week, it will be a powerful piece.
i am anxious about making myself so vulnerable to people i dont know. i will be exposed. my flaws made known. but if ONE person is moved by my speech, i will be grateful and humbled.
if you want to read my draft, i would be grateful. one person at a time, we can make a difference.
proud of you sweet girl. i am sure your words will touch those who are at a vulnerable place in their lives. high school is so hard, and it is so powerful that you are going to be able to share your story and your victories with those going through a time of transition and experimentation, so that they can draw courage from your courage and strength from your strength. love you girlie <3
