tonight Demi Lovato's documentary was on MTV. it was about her struggles with depression, eating disorders and self harm. it moved me to the core. i was in tears through out the entire show. she was vulnerable, candid, and raw. she gave us suffering a voice.
the documentary inspired me, motivated me. along with my experience this past weekend. i want to become the voice of eating disorders. to use my voice for a bigger purpose. i contacted NEDA as well as the massachusetts chapter.
i will leave you with this quote from her show..
people think you are a car in a body shop. you go in, they fix you and you are out and you work like you are brand new. it doesnt work like that. it takes constant fixing. just because you have a day off doesnt mean recovery is over. recovery doesnt have a day off. i dont think there is a finish line. you keep going.."
